UniAlarm Dispatcher A-Z

The UniAlarm Dispatcher allows of a full-scale, manufacturer-independent signal-distribution.

Remote monitoring service providers, authorities, fire departments and building managers can equally use it. With the help of the UniAlarm Dispatcher, a highly available signal-distribution network can be established from independent systems or networks. The system is independent from the individual remote signaling devices and supports almost all internationally used protocols.

The UniAlarm Dispatcher system offers an integrated surveillance system for the authorities and law enforcement agencies (fire department, the police, disaster recovery, the military). Aside from the surveillance of their own establishments and systems, the UniAlarm Dispatcher allows the option to receive and distribute the signals by certain organizations or by external signal services.

What is signal distribution?

  • The UniAlarm system individually identifies each surveillance (system), participant (partner) and supervised system (object). The single systems receive the signals directly, but a connection can be established among the systems with the help of programmed intelligence.
  • The heterogeneous signals can be organized into a common group via the connection among the individual UniAlarm systems. A complete signal transmission hierarchy may be created with the help of the hierarchical relations.
  • The completely interconnected UniAlarm Dispatcher Network is able to distribute the signals intelligently (active connection), or to monitor the signals (passive connection) for the appropriate organization. With this solution a system may be developed in which the assigned authority receives and manages each signal, while a top dispatcher service can see and supervise all signals.

How can external services be connected to the system?

The UniAlarm Dispatcher offers two options to forward signals from a dispatcher service towards the competent authority (eg. the fire department):

  1. The communication interface of the system communicates on the IP network (either private or public) with the help of two-key encryption, has the exact description of the protocol created for the transmission of signals, so it can be adapted to any system dispatcher service.
  2. The EasyComm software package has been developed for smaller surveillance, which contains the communication protocols and knows even the serial protocol of the most common signaling systems, so it establishes connection between the dispatcher centers and the official system in just a few clicks.

Why is the UniAlarm Dispatcher a good choice for the authorities?

  • Because the system is secure and certified by the EN54-21 standard
  • Because it is uniform and offers interconnection conforming to the industry standards between external signal services and even the single authorities
  • Because the mission management systems used by the organization can be connected to its documented interface
  • Because it can be widely used, it has been tested successfully for several years and can be implemented quickly
  • The operators can learn it quickly and it is easy to use
